Caritas Jockey Club Resource and Support Centre for Carers joined the "Smiley Action in Community" activity on 29 November 2022. Our professional dental surgery assistant Ms. Susanna Ho was invited to conduct an online health talk and Q&A session to 36 participants.

The "Smiley Action in Community" Closing Ceremony 2022 was jointly organized by the Hong Kong University Faculty of Dentistry and sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The event was held at the Dragon Centre in Sham Shui Po and aimed to promote oral health activities. The ceremony was honored to have distinguished guests, including Professor Chu Chun Hung, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong, Dr. Abraham T.C. Wong, Chairman of the Project Concern Hong Kong Board, Dr. Wiley Lam, Consultant in-charge of Dental Services at the Department of Health, Dr. Nelson Wong Chi Wai, President of the Hong Kong Dental Association, Dr. Calvin Wang Kuk Seng, Chairman of PCHK Medical Services, Miss Tse Yi Lam, Assistant District Officer of Sham Shui Po, Professor Teresa B.K. Tsien Wong, Honorary Advisor of the Project Concern Hong Kong Board, Ms. China Wong, Marketing Manager of Dragon Centre, and Ms. Chan Ying Yee, Executive Director of Project Concern Hong Kong, to serve as guests of honor at the closing ceremony.
In addition to expressing gratitude to the various units that provided support for this project, the event aimed to effectively provide dental care information and eradicate oral diseases through the "Smiley Action in Community" oral health promotion activity, significantly reducing the oral health problems of the public. The event featured free oral health consultations, dental health education exhibitions, and oral health talks givenby professional dentists to address common oral health issues. Furthermore, the event included oral health knowledge game booths and a new VR mobile dental clinic tour. Participants could wear VR devices to virtually board mobile dental clinics parked throughout Hong Kong to learn about the onboard equipment and the steps patients need to take during treatment on the dental clinic.
