Love Teeth Event in School

This event was co-organized by The University of Hong Kong Faculty of Dentistry and Society of Preventive Dentistry of Hong Kong, and funded by Li Ka Shing Foundation to provide free oral health screening and treatment to the secondary school students of Shek Lei Catholic Secondary School. A total of 120 students recevied oral health screening and 117 students received fluoride treatment. 6 of them received on-site scaling on our mobile dental vehicle during the day of the event.

This event was collaborated with Kwai Tsing District Heatlh Centre and funded by Li Ka Shing Foundation to provide free oral health screening, oral health consultation and oral health education to their members. 51 participants recevied oral health screening. 19 of them received fluoride treatment and 17 of them received on-site scaling on our mobile dental vehicle during the day of the event. Another 29 participants were referred to our dental clinic for scaling and fluoride treatment.

Project Concern was invited by Silence to conduct oral health talk to 27 people who are deaf and hearing-impaired. A senior dental surgery assistant was assigned to introduce common dental disease and the prevention of those diseases. She also demonstrated the proper teeth-brushing procedures to the participants. The talk was interpreted by sign language.
